Fantomen: A Vintage-Inspired Display Font for Web Design

Fantomen in a Creative Portfolio Header

Fantomen is a set of 2 hand-drawn fonts inspired by vintage ads, old newspapers and retro sign painting. It will turn any design project into an eye catcher. When I first tested Fantomen on a creative portfolio homepage, the visual impact was immediate. The font’s rough, textured strokes gave the header a nostalgic yet modern feel. I used it for the main title over a full-width image of a past project, and it instantly added character without overwhelming the layout.

The key was balancing Fantomen with a clean sans serif font for body text. This combination kept the design readable while maintaining a unique brand identity. On mobile screens, the larger headline scaled well, ensuring legibility even on smaller devices.

Fantomen for Boutique Online Store Banners

Fantomen is a set of 2 hand-drawn fonts inspired by vintage ads, old newspapers and retro sign painting. It will turn any design project into an eye catcher. For a boutique online store redesign, I needed a font that felt authentic but still professional. Fantomen fit perfectly for the hero section, where it was used as the main headline above a product showcase banner.

The vintage aesthetic of Fantomen helped create a warm, approachable brand tone that resonated with the target audience. I paired it with a minimalist sans serif for subheadings and product descriptions, which made the content easy to scan. The result was a visually appealing landing page that encouraged users to explore further.

I also tested Fantomen on call-to-action buttons and found that it worked best for short phrases like “Shop Now” or “Explore Collection.” Its decorative nature made the buttons stand out without being distracting.

Fantomen in a Coaching Website Hero Section

Fantomen is a set of 2 hand-drawn fonts inspired by vintage ads, old newspapers and retro sign painting. It will turn any design project into an eye catcher. When designing a coaching website, I wanted to evoke a sense of trust and authenticity. Fantomen’s hand-drawn style gave the hero section a personal touch that felt more human than a standard sans serif.

Used sparingly, Fantomen was ideal for the main headline and tagline. I avoided using it for long paragraphs or body copy, as that could reduce readability. Instead, I reserved it for decorative accents and logo text, which added a subtle layer of personality to the overall design.

The font’s retro charm aligned well with the coaching niche, helping to establish a connection with potential clients who were looking for a mentor rather than just another service provider.

Fantomen for Product Landing Pages and Course Sales Pages

Fantomen is a set of 2 hand-drawn fonts inspired by vintage ads, old newspapers and retro sign painting. It will turn any design project into an eye catcher. In a recent project for a course sales page, I experimented with Fantomen for the headline and feature sections. The vintage look helped differentiate the page from other digital products that often rely on sleek, modern typography.

I used one of Fantomen’s two styles for the main headline and the other for secondary headers. This variation kept the design dynamic without becoming too busy. The contrast between the two styles helped guide the user’s eye through the content, making it easier to follow along.

For the CTA section, I opted for a simpler sans serif font to ensure clarity. This decision reinforced the idea that Fantomen was best suited for attention-grabbing elements rather than long-form content.

Fantomen in Digital Ads and Campaign Landing Pages

Fantomen is a set of 2 hand-drawn fonts inspired by vintage ads, old newspapers and retro sign painting. It will turn any design project into an eye catcher. When creating a campaign landing page for a new product launch, I wanted something that stood out in a sea of similar ads. Fantomen’s retro vibe provided exactly that.

I applied Fantomen to the headline and a few key selling points. The font’s uniqueness helped capture attention quickly, which is crucial in digital advertising where users often skim through content.

On dark backgrounds, Fantomen maintained its legibility thanks to its bold strokes. However, I made sure to use high-contrast colors for the text to avoid any issues with readability. The final layout was both eye-catching and effective at driving conversions.

Fantomen for Brand Identity and Digital Brand Kits

Fantomen is a set of 2 hand-drawn fonts inspired by vintage ads, old newspapers and retro sign painting. It will turn any design project into an eye catcher. As part of a digital brand kit, Fantomen played a key role in defining the brand’s visual language. Its hand-drawn nature allowed for a more expressive and memorable brand identity that stood out from competitors.

I used Fantomen in logo variations, social media graphics, and promotional materials. The font’s versatility meant it could be adapted for different platforms and formats while still retaining its core personality.

When selecting Fantomen for brand assets, I made sure to check its webfont availability and file formats. The font included multiple weights and alternates, which gave me flexibility in how I used it across various design elements.
